This class is focused on learning the fundamentals of drawing such as pencil techniques, shading, perspective, foreshortening, and much more. Drawings will be completed based on each topic, all of which will be pencil drawings.
This class builds on the basics learned in Drawing I. Students will get a more in-depth look at the topics covered, while working with much more difficult subject matter. Students have more flexibility in both subject matter and mediums that he or she would like to explore.
This class gives students maximum flexibility in terms of both subject matter and medium. Students will begin working on a much more individual basis, while still working with the instructor.
This class is focused on learning the fundamentals of painting and color. All students will begin by learning about how colors work with or against one another among many other topics. Students will work forward to completing paintings that involve all topics discussed in class. All students in Painting I will begin painting with Acrylics.
This class builds on the basics learned in Painting I. Students will now be able to begin using water-based oils and watercolor, if he or she chooses to do so. The concepts learned in Painting I will be reinforced and continued throughout this class, however with more freedom in terms of subject matter.
This class gives students maximum flexibility in terms of both subject matter and medium. Students are now free to explore mediums such as oils and gauche, and are now free to implement his or her own ideas into their paintings. Students will now be working on a much more individual basis, while still working with the instructor.
This class will cover the history of art from ancient times up to the present. Techniques, artists, styles, and much more will be covered for each time period. Prominent artists from each time period will be thoroughly discussed as well, leaving students will a very well balanced, yet in-depth knowledge of the history of art.
Please Note: All students will begin in either a general drawing or painting class, and will advance at his or her own pace through the consecutive classes!
